The ghost stories of this valley are not the only myths prevalent among the island’s natives. The people of Qeshm believe that in the past, behind a dark night, the stars fell from the sky to the ground of this valley and caused strange shapes in this valley. Apparently, it was based on this belief that this valley is known as the Valley of Stars.
But aside from local beliefs and myths, geologists and researchers have provided scientific evidence for the shape and geography of the Valley of Stars. According to these scientists, scientifically, this valley has been formed due to the erosion of surface waters and seasonal showers over several million years.
Most of the rocks in Star Valley are made of limestone cement and sandstone. Therefore, over time, the wind has had a significant effect on the formation of these amazing shapes in the mountains and cliffs.
