Many people think that the Semnan province is a desert region. But this idea is completely wrong. Because after passing through the arid region, a stunning forest called an Abr (cloud) appears in front of your eyes. This forest, which is surrounded by clouds, is located 45 km north of Shahroud city. The Abr forest is part of the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests. It is good to know that the Hyrcanian forests are the second natural monument of Iran after the Shahdad desert, inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This forest is 40 million years old.
4- Naharkhoran Forest
Naharkhoran is the name of a village in Golestan province. Today, Naharkhoran has become a forest park and is located 8 km south of Gorgan. The weather in this area is pleasant and very mild. This forest is connected to the city by the expansion of Gorgan city through a street, which is also one of the main streets of the city. Naharkhoran in the fall is very beautiful and spectacular. The forest dates back to the Jurassic period, about 40 million years ago.
5- Arasbaran Forests
Arasbaran Forests are located in the northeast of East Azerbaijan and at a distance of 221 km from Tabriz. Arasbaran is also known as Qaradagh because of its many mountains. UNESCO has named these forests biospheres. Arasbaran has many tourism opportunities. Arasbaran has the most pleasant weather in spring and summer.
