This is a tour to the heart of Zoroastrianism and the world of abode adobes. In this short amazing city tour of Yazd we get lost in the labyrinthine lanes of old city, enjoy an exotic atmosphere, learn about the history and rites of Zoroastrians and experience local touch.

Tour Itinerary

Our day tour starts with visiting towers of Silence, structure built by Zoroastrians on the top of hill outside city borders to get rid of dead bodies. These places are no longer in use. Then, we go to Amir Chaqmaq Square where we can visit an amazing three storey, symmetric façade and sweet shops. Yazd Fire Temple, with its ancient eternal fire is the next stop. This relatively contemporary fire temple houses one a blaze of fire burning non-stop more than 1500 years. The last place is the old town with many abodes, badgies (wind catchers), and sabats. Here, we not only meet local people living in old town, but also visit some old buildings.
