Taq-e Bostan

An old site in the northwest of the city, containing historically and artistically important Sassanian reliefs,Taq-e Bostan includes two arch-like alcoves of different sizes as well as a bas-relief. Like other Sassanian reliefs, the carvings represent power, luxury, brevity, honor, and religious commitment of Sassanian kings.

Bisotun

A UNESCO-registered World Heritage Site, located along the ancient trade route, linking the Iranian high plateau to Mesopotamia, the bas-relief and cuneiform inscriptions of Bisotun, ordered by Darius, the Great, in 521 BCE, portray Darius holding a bow and treading on the chest of a figure lying on his back before him.

Tekyeh of Moavenol Mulk

A venue for holding religious events and performing Ta’ziye,Tekyeh of Moavenol Mulk is the second most visited site in Kermanshah after Taq-e Bostan. Built in the 19th century, during Qajar period, the building is famous for its beautiful tilework, fine patterns, natural colors, and images of Karbala scenes as well as the two museums dedicated to Kermanshah ethnography and dressing styles.
